Los Angeles, California - LeBron James scored 24 points, including 10 in a decisive fourth quarter, to help the Los Angeles Lakers pull away and end the New York Knicks' nine-game winning streak with a 113-105 victory on Tuesday night at the Staples Center.
Anthony Davis added 21 points and nine rebounds, and Russell Westbrook had 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Lakers (9-7), who broke a three-game losing streak.
RJ Barrett led the Knicks (10-6) with 22 points, while Evan Fournier added 18 and Jalen Brunson finished with 17.
The Lakers made 46.3% of their shots from the field, including 34.4% from 3-point range, and hit 72.2% of their free throws.
The Knicks shot 42.0% from the field, including 30.0% from beyond the arc, and made 75.0% of their free throws.
After a close first half, the Lakers took control in the third quarter, outscoring the Knicks 35-20.
The Knicks cut the deficit to 101-95 with 4:22 remaining in the fourth quarter, but a 3-pointer from James gave the Lakers some breathing room.
The Lakers will host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday, while the Knicks will visit the Denver Nuggets on Friday.
