Alcaraz Comes From Behind to Defeat Zverev

Alcaraz captured his first Grand Slam title on Sunday with a hard-fought victory over Alexander Zverev in the French Open final.

The 19-year-old Spaniard rallied from a 2-1 deficit to win 6-3, 2-6, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2 on Court Philippe-Chatrier. The match lasted four hours and 21 minutes, making it the longest men's final at Roland Garros since the introduction of the tiebreak in 1973.

Alcaraz is the youngest men's Grand Slam champion since Rafael Nadal won the French Open in 2005. He is also the first Spanish man to win the French Open since Nadal in 2014.

Zverev had a chance to serve out the match at 5-4 in the fourth set, but Alcaraz broke him and then won the next four games to take the set.

In the fifth set, Alcaraz broke Zverev in the first game and never looked back. He won the final game with a forehand winner down the line.
