Verstappen Extends Championship Lead to 46 Points

Race Recap

Verstappen started from pole position and maintained his lead into the first corner. He was able to build up a comfortable gap over Sainz, who was running in second place. However, a safety car period on lap 10 brought the field back together.

The restart saw Sainz close up on Verstappen, but the Red Bull driver was able to hold him off. Sainz continued to apply pressure, but Verstappen was able to cross the line first and claim his sixth win of the season.

Hamilton Completes Podium

Lewis Hamilton finished third, despite starting from 13th place on the grid. The Mercedes driver made a great start and was able to move up into the top 10 on the opening lap. He then continued to make progress throughout the race, eventually securing a podium finish.
